At 14:03, NDSART received reports of a male, who had fallen from Watern Tor and sustained a possible back injury. NDSART was called along with South Western Ambulance Service Trust – HART team.

Two team members and members of the HART team made their way to Watern Tor, to assess the situation. Meanwhile, the remaining team members headed to the site at a slower pace with a stretcher and equipment.

Once on scene, the Paramedics from HART team assessed the casualty. The injured individual was then placed into a vacuum mattress and stretchered back to awaiting 4×4 vehicles at Hangingstone Hill.
