Callout – 27 October 2024
North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team were contacted by South Western Ambulance Service Trust at 14:13 to assist with an elderly casualty who was injured near Belstone and unable to move.
Team Members gathered at Belstone Green with Paramedics and HEMS team members and met with the casualty along the tracks through Belstone Cleave towards Skaigh.
Paramedics assessed the casualty, who was found to have a lower leg injury.
Those not already on scene were stood down at 15:03, as there were enough resources on-site to stretcher the casualty to the nearby ambulance waiting in Belstone.
