The team were called this morning to search for a lost walker in the vicinity of Little Hound Tor. Visibility was down to 50 metres and it was raining heavily. Search teams set out soon after midday and the walker was located, sheltering in his tent. He was assisted off the moor and back to his car by the finding team members, safe and well. He later texted the team with this message, “Please pass on my huge thanks again to everyone who came out to help me”.
It was newly-qualified search dog Jack’s first call out and he performed extremely well on the hill.
We stood the team down at 15:45.
