At 12:45 the team were notified by Devon & Cornwall Police, of a fallen horse rider in the Button Hill area.
Whilst the team were on route, the location of the casualty was established.
Team members along with paramedics from South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust made their way upto the location.
On arrival, they located a 45yr old male who had fallen from a horse, with pain in the lower back and chest.
As more team members arrived, a Bell stretcher was taken to the casualty site.
The casualty was put into a vacuum mattress to reduce the risk of further damage and a casualty bag ( big sleeping bag), to keep him warm.
He was then stretchered off the moor to an awaiting ambulance.
Everyone off the moor at 15:00
Great multi agency work.
We wish the casualty a speedy recovery.
