Exmoor Search & Rescue Team were tasked by Devon & Cornwall Police to assist with the search for a high-risk missing person in the North Devon area. Due to the nature of the deployment, mutual aid was sought from North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team and Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England.
The missing person was located quickly as a result of focused route searches, near to the last known location. Following assessment by a Team Paramedic and Casualty Carer from North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team, the missing person was evacuated from the hillside using Exmoor #MountainRescue ambulance. The missing person was transferred into the care of South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, for onward conveyance to hospital.
