We are always seeking enthusiastic people to join us. Members of the team come from all walks of life, most have full-time jobs.

If you enjoy Dartmoor, helping others and the ability to work in a team then becoming a member of NDSRT could be for you!

Requirements:

You must be over 18, have a level of fitness sufficient to cope with extended fell walking and above all enthusiasm.
All new members undergo a period of training, usually 6-18 months to gain the skills and knowledge of Search and Rescue. Such skills include:
Navigation
Search Techniques
Casualty Care
Communications
Search Management
Helicopter Deployment and Evacuation

Full members continue to train to maintain their skills and abilities. Training takes place on Tuesday evenings along with other exciting training events throughout the year.
