As a voluntary organisation, all members are unpaid and give their services, time and skills freely to help others.

The costs involved with an organisation such as ours are considerable. We need regular funding to maintain our Rescue Centre in Okehampton, our Control vehicle and our Land Rover Ambulance. Emergency equipment such as Bell Stretchers, Vacuum mattresses, First-Aid equipment and the other vital equipment we need to operate have to be maintained and replaced.

We have been fortunate to have attracted several sponsors over the years who have helped by providing Clothing, Equipment and money to help the NDSRT operate. Sponsorship creates valuable publicity and PR from their association with the team.

We also receive many donations and the occasional bequest from the local and surrounding communities. The NDSRT are extremely grateful for such support and generosity.
